Why Cozumel

Some of the Caribbean's most celebrated reefs

  • World-famous reefs: Cozumel's reefs are protected within the Cozumel Reefs National Park (Parque Nacional Arrecifes de Cozumel), home to legendary sites such as Palancar and the Santa Rosa Wall.
  • Effortless drift diving: Currents carry you along the reef as the dive boat follows. Your guide can choose sites suited to your experience.
  • Clear, warm Caribbean water: The island offers an extraordinary range of reef scenery and marine life.
  • Easy to reach: Cozumel International Airport (CZM) serves the island.

Good to Know

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to be certified to dive?

Certified divers can join the boat dives right away. If you're not certified yet, Dive Paradise offers PADI courses, including Discover Scuba Diving and Open Water certification. Tell us when you book and we'll plan it into your trip. Shore diving is for certified divers only.

Can non-divers come along?

Absolutely. Non-diving partners, friends and family are welcome and can share a room with a diver. They'll have the all-inclusive resort, the pool, the beach club, snorkeling, kayaking, the spa and plenty of island excursions to enjoy.

How do we get there?

Fly into Cozumel International Airport (CZM). From there, arrange ground transportation to the resort. We'll help you plan flights and transfers for the whole group.

When is the best time to go?

Cozumel welcomes divers year-round. Winter and spring tend to be drier, while summer and fall bring warmer water and a higher chance of storms. Atlantic hurricane season runs June through November, so we recommend travel protection. We'll help you pick the right dates for your group.

Should we buy travel protection?

Yes, we strongly recommend it for every traveler. A good plan can help protect your trip investment if plans change, and can cover medical care away from home. Divers should also consider dive accident insurance. We'll walk you through the options.

Your people. Your adventure.
