This policy explains how Making Waves Adventures (also known as Making Waves Travel, “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information submitted through the contact form on mwadventures.com. It covers website inquiries, not information collected later by airlines, cruise lines, hotels, or other travel suppliers during booking.
What you share with us
Our contact form asks for:
- Full name and email address — required so we know who you are and can reply.
- Phone number — optional, if you would like us to be able to contact you by phone.
- Trip interest — the kind of travel you are considering, including “Help me decide.”
- Agreement confirmation — a required checkbox confirming you have read and agree to the Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions. The notification email includes the agreement wording and the server-recorded submission time.
- Your message — optional details you choose to share, such as destinations, dates, budget, travel companions, or a special occasion.
You may mention accessibility preferences if they are helpful, but you do not need to provide a diagnosis or medical records. Please do not send passport numbers, payment-card details, Social Security numbers, or other sensitive documents through this form.
How we use your inquiry
Linda and Jessica use your information to respond to your questions, understand your travel preferences, discuss suitable options, and follow up about the trip you asked us to help plan. We also use it to manage our correspondence and resolve problems with your inquiry.
Submitting this form does not book a trip, create an account, or subscribe you to a newsletter or marketing list. We do not sell or rent your contact-form information or use it for targeted advertising.
Where your message goes
The form is processed by our website host, Vercel. Resend delivers your submission by email to our agency inbox at makingwavesta@gmail.com, which is hosted by Google’s Gmail service. Your email address is included as the reply-to address so we can respond directly.
These providers process information as needed to host the form, deliver and store email, and maintain their services. The website does not maintain a separate database of contact-form submissions. Your inquiry and any replies may remain in our email correspondence.
We do not automatically forward form submissions to travel suppliers. If you later ask us to arrange travel, we will discuss the additional information and supplier involvement needed for that request. Information may also be disclosed when required by law or necessary to address fraud, abuse, or security incidents.
No analytics or advertising tracking
We do not use website analytics, advertising pixels, or behavioral tracking tools. Our website code does not set cookies or use browser storage to track visitors.
Hosting, network, and email providers may process ordinary technical records, such as IP addresses, request times, browser information, and delivery or error logs, to operate, secure, and troubleshoot their services. These operational records are separate from advertising or visitor-behavior tracking.
Keeping and protecting information
Contact-form messages are sent to email and are not automatically deleted by the website after submission. How long a message remains depends on the agency’s email handling and the service providers’ retention and backup settings; we do not promise a fixed automatic deletion period.
You can ask us to delete an inquiry we hold. We may need to retain related records for an ongoing travel request, legal obligations, or a dispute, and provider backups may remain for their normal retention periods.
The website uses HTTPS to protect information in transit to the site. No internet transmission or email-storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
Your choices and questions
Your name, email, and agreement confirmation are required to submit the form. You can leave optional fields blank, contact us directly instead, or ask us to stop following up. To request access to, correction of, or deletion of inquiry information we hold, contact Linda and Jessica:
Tell us which inquiry your request concerns. We may need to confirm your identity before sharing or changing information. We will respond in accordance with applicable law.
Links to other services
Our consultation link opens Calendly. Social-media and travel-partner links also take you to other websites. Information you share there is governed by those services’ own privacy policies; this contact-form policy does not cover their practices.
Updates to this policy
If our form or information practices change, we will update this page and its effective date.
